Using Google + Country Code to find current event articles

One good way to find current event articles about your country is to use the Google search engine in your country.  To access the Google site for your country, you'll need to know your country's "country code" for the internet.  Here is a link to a list of country codes for the Internet.

Once you have your country code, then go to your browser (I recommend Chrome, because it offers an option to translate results into English) and type in: www.google.com.XX, where XX represents your country code.  For example, to go to Google's site in Cuba, the country code for Cuba is cu, so I would go to www.google.com.cu.

Once you have arrived at Google's site for your country, you can type in the word "news" and you will get a variety of news results for your country.  Beware, they will be in the language of your country!  If you use Chrome, you should be able to find an option to translate the results into English.
